WHAT MY

Clients Say

I have just come back from a great experience! I was able to have the opportunity to do a personal shopping session with Vicky. She saw immediately what suites me and brought new, useful and creative ideas into my styling. It was absolutely professional advice and was preceded by excellent preparation. Vicky is a real pro! Despite all the professionalism, the atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant. Thank you so much for this afternoon.

MY STORY

I have loved fashion for as long as I can remember. I always loved playing dress-ups as a child and that joy never seems to have left me. Eternally a creative at heart. I started out as a Hairdresser and a Make-Up Artist. I was lucky enough and smart enough to always position myself with the best of the best in my industry to ensure that I would always push my own boundaries in learning. This career has been, and continues to be amazing and has now spanned 35 years. I have been lucky enough to travel the world and have worked on an international platform in Australia, London, Dubai, Paris, and Switzerland, now back in the UK.

In the early days of my career, I often worked on photo shoots and fashion shows doing hair and make-up. I also did some competition work when I was in salons and as a result, have won a few awards. In Dubai, I was the national manager of the largest chain of expat salons at the time which opened doors for me to become the lead stylist for Dubai Fashion Week. During that time I was taken to Paris on a few occasions as well as other places in the Middle East to represent the business. Those trips led to my love of Paris. I knew that one day I would live there. When I finally made the move, it was both scary and fabulous. I loved my time there being surrounded by all that Frenchness… I opened the first english speaking salon in Paris (there are now a few) and it was very satisfying and successful. I got to go to Paris Fashion Week on several occasions because of this, only as a guest, not a stylist, but the immersion in all that creativity was incredible. When I moved to Switzerland I started a second salon venture, running the two locations concurrently. Not long after selling the Paris salon, COVID hit and the world went mad for a minute. Like many of us, I decided it was time to reassess, set some new challenges and pivot my career in a new direction. As someone who was now a mid-lifer, I understood the challenges many women go through (me included) as to how to style ourselves for this new season of life. So, with many years working in fashion, studying to become a personal stylist seemed like the natural transition. I studied with The Style Coaching Institute and graduated with honours. I love this career! It is a win-win for me, I get to work with women, which I have always loved and I get to help them address their style issues and redefine what makes them feel their very best. With a strong background in the beauty industry, I can advise on clothing, wardrobe, shopping, colour, body shape, hair and make-up. I can offer a top to toe service.
